Connor's Story

I began the Connor's Crusade Foundation at the end of 2019 to honor the memory of our son Connor Goonan, who was diagnosed with stage 4 brain and spinal cancer on November 16, 2017 at the age of 11 years old.

Connor fought cancer in true warrior fashion because of his faith in God and with the support of so many who loved him. During his battle Connor never lost hope or joy, he always managed to be kind and compassionate towards others. Connor was such a happy child, always smiling and had this light about him that seem to just draw people in. He was welcomed to Heaven by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at the age of 12 on November 12, 2018.

No parent ever wants to hear the words "Your Son has Cancer." The reality is those exact words are said more often to parents then we realize. I sadly know what that shock and fear feels like. After hearing that awful news, I knew God was leading me to do something. I wasn't sure what that looked like or even where to begin? But I knew God had a plan.

I know that without our faith and the support of our family, friends, church and community we would not have been able to be there by Connor's side every step of the way. It's unimaginable enough to know that your child is battling cancer but it's even more difficult when you are a family in need of some financial support and don't know where to turn.

Donations given to Connor's Crusade Foundation will go to help support a local family whose child has been diagnosed with cancer and to show these families they do not have to fight alone!

This is our way of showing how grateful and thankful my family was and still is to this day for all those wonderful loving people who supported us during our son's fight against cancer.

                       Forever thankful and blessed,

Rebecca Goonan-Founder and President but most important..... Connor's mom.
